we hit our first deer the other day the clunk felt like we hit a car it was low speed but the thing got up and ran away. I was sad thinking it might later die.

I’ve only hit one deer. I was almost stopped upon impact, but the deer ran away. I also was sad that it might have died later. It only cracked my bumper and grill on my Explorer. I was in the mountains, and I was speeding............totally my fault. I don’t speed anymore. Lesson learned.

I wish my encounter with a 9 point in my car 2 years ago would have ended this well. Killed the car and killed the deer. Bad day all around.

Yeah I can imagine it did. Unfortunately it’s pretty common here in the south for accidents involving deer. The worst part was that it was an 03 540i M-Sport that I had just bought a month earlier. I loved that car, but it wasn’t meant to be I guess.

We hit 5 deer (in Kentucky, no less) simultaneously in our 1983 Lincoln Continental (similar to the one pictured) way back in the day. All 5 deer died, and the Lincoln only broke a blinker. That Landau top had deer hair embedded in it until the day we sold it.
